What are Winter Guardians?

Winter Guardians are snowsports and outdoor enthusiasts from around the country who are active in snowsports communities and committed to raising awareness of the activities and goals of Protect Our Winters.

We are recruiting, training, equipping and supporting Winter Guardians to inspire existing close-knit UK snowsports communities. Our Winter Guardians are based in indoor snowdomes, dry slopes, university clubs, race clubs and outdoor sports retailers.

What do Winter Guardians do?

Our vision is for 50 trained Winter Guardians in place by 2019. They will help people work through POW Mountain - our four-step behaviour change model. This will include fun and inspirational tools, resources and support, to help people make changes to their lifestyle, and create consumer and corporate pressure for sustainable products, policies and investments.

How can I get involved?

If you work with outdoor communities then we want to hear from you! Protect Our Winters isn't just for skiers and snowboarders, everyone who spends time in the outdoors is going to have their sport affected by climate change, so it's vital that we all work together. Send us an e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and tell us a bit about who you are, what you do and where you're based and one of our team will get back to you.
