Accredited by the UN-recognised Carbon Literacy Project, our course empowers outdoor enthusiasts with the knowledge and tools to comprehend the carbon footprint of their activities and take meaningful action to reduce emissions at personal, community, and organisational levels.

Our goal is simple: to equip individuals with the understanding and motivation to protect our climate for present and future generations.

What’s covered?

The course covers the causes and impacts of climate change on the outdoor community, along with global challenges and action planning. Learning outcomes include understanding Carbon Literacy, greenhouse gases, climate effects, carbon footprint reduction, effective climate communication, and creating personal action plans.

How long is the course?

This is an 8-hour course, usually spread across multiple days. For instance, our public course is divided into four 2-hour sessions held over two weeks. For organisations, we can tailor the schedule to suit your requirements, but we recommend completing it in 2-4 sessions for optimal engagement and retention.

How much does it cost?

Our public course is offered at a highly subsidised price thanks to the support of our generous partners. This covers the course as well as a £10 assessment and certification fee. Organisational pricing varies based on attendee count, so please reach out for a custom quote.

Accreditation & Certification

The training adheres to the Carbon Literacy Standard and is accredited by the UN-recognized Carbon Literacy Project (CLP), ensuring that the learning method, knowledge, values, and actions empower learners to take meaningful action.

Upon successful completion of the course, you'll receive a carbon literate certification from the Carbon Literacy Project.
